Growth is a critical stage for many small and micro-enterprises which have started to consolidate themselves in the market after a successful beginning. The city needs companies with global ambition which are not scared to grow, and that want to generate wealth in Barcelona through competing globally. It is also true that in many cases, growth is much more than an option: it is a strategic necessity for the survival of the company. Barcelona Activa, Barcelona City Council, puts a range of programs and resources (contacts, information, training, advice, connection to financing, the hot topics of global innovation...) within the reach of innovating companies, in order to support them in the growth process. It is j ust as or more important that companies be created in the city is that these companies grow and consolidate, generating wealth and quality employment. For this reason, in 2004, Barcelona Activa established the Consolidation of New Companies line of activity, which concentrates a range of programs offered from expert advice and mentorization of new companies, to continuous training, access to sources of financing and contacts for growth, the promotion of business cooperation and the transfer of knowledge and the provision of innovation spaces with infrastructures and high added value services for the installation of companies of new creation.

- Entrepreneurs who have installed their company in the Incubator or Barcelona North Technology Park.
